Ronan Keating Had Therapy After Split

Ronan Keating has admitted he used therapy and self-help books following his split from former wife Yvonne Connolly.

The Boyzone singer added that he was in a "bad place" when his marriage ended in 2011 after he had an affair with dancer Francince Cornell.

Speaking to Closer magazine, the 36-year-old confessed: "I'm back in a good head space, which is great because it gets scary when you lose it. I don't want to make mistakes like I've made again, so I'm very cautious.

"But therapy, reading books like 'The Power of Now' and work have really helped me live in the present.

"I'm very comfortable in my skin and that's a nice place to be. When you've made big mistakes [and] then realise, 'What the f**k was I doing?', there is a lot of self-loathing for the hurt you've caused."

Keating added that his three children with his estranged wife are their main priority.

"The most important thing is that the kids are happy. That's what we both work at," he added.

Keating and Connolly married in April 1998. Their first child, a son named Jack, was born in March 1999 and they welcomed their second child, Marie in February 2001. Their third child, Ali, was born in 2005. In April 2012, the couple confirmed they had ended their relationship.
