David Beckham 'Works Hard For His Children'

David Beckham has admitted he is glad he and wife Victoria started their family at a young age.

The former footballer explained that it is because his children have been able to enjoy all the success he has experienced throughout his career.

Speaking to The Metro, the 38-year-old said he was glad that he was able to share the success with his four children.

The Beckham's, who tied the knot in 1999, are parents to Brooklyn, 14, Romeo, 12, Cruz, 9, and two-year-old Harper.

Discussing his family, David, who has won 19 major trophies in his lengthy career, revealed: "I wanted to have children and boys that could live my career with me – and they did.

"The fact that they've been at Manchester United when I've won trophies and lifted them with me. The fact that they've been with me in Madrid...

"The good thing about having children at such a young age is they lived through my career with me and that's one of the things I always wanted in life.

"The reason I work so hard and I want to achieve so much is for my children."
