Man Sells Ex's 'Cursed' Engagement Ring

A man whose relationship came to an end has made the decision to sell his ex-partner's engagement ring. The man, who has not been named, placed the ring on Craigslist with a reduced price of $1,800.

The item of jewellery itself, which comes with the original box, is described by the seller as 1.5 carat weight set in 14K white gold.

However, when the jilted man gets to the condition of the ring, things take an usual turn.

The Craigslist description reads: "The ring is in like new condition, only worn for a short period of time by Satan herself."

He then follows up with a warning for the potential buyer. "Ring may be cursed as it tends to leave a path of destruction behind it. Possible events associated with thing ring include buy are not limited to: damage sustained to house, vehicle, heart, downed powerlines, fallen trees, and swarms of locus. (sic)

"I would highly recommend taking action to counter the whirlwind of bad mojo that surround this piece of jewelry. Should consider having curse removed by voodoo priest or something before presenting to loved one. Other than that a very nice piece of jewelry."

With a final warning, the seller added that if the ring did not sell by Christmas, it would be "going into the fires of Mordor".

The listing, which was created last week, is still active.
