Marriage Keeps Mulligan 'Secure'

Carey Mulligan has revealed her marriage has made her more "secure".

The British actress married singer Marcus Mumford in 2012.

Speaking to The Guardian, the 28-year-old added that because she is settled in her personal life, she is now also more confident with her career.


When questioned on how marriage has changed her, Mulligan said: "I think I'm more settled and more secure than I've probably ever been, and more confident and excited about the work choices that I make."

Mulligan and Mumford are understood to have been childhood pen pals, but they lost touch and later reconnected as adults. In April 2012, having finished work on the Coen brothers' film 'Inside Llewyn Davis', in which they were both involved with, the pair married.
