Vladimir Putin's Divorce Is Finalised

The divorce of Russian President Vladimir Putin has reportedly been confirmed by The Kremlin.

President Putin was married to his wife Lyudmila for 30 years.

The couple, who have two daughters together, announced on live television last June that they had ended their marriage.


During their appearance last year, Mr Putin told the press: "It was a joint decision: we hardly see each other, each of us has our own life."

His then-wife said their separation was "civilised" and they would "always remain close".

According to Russian media reports, Presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov confirmed the couple's divorce had now been finalised.
