The incident happened last week, about an hour into the Ryanair flight.
According to reports, bride-to-be Kelly Lloyd, 30, and bridesmaid Katrina Hanafin, were involved in the fight, but now Ms Hanafin has pulled out of the wedding due to the scuffle.
Shortly after the fight broke out, the cabin crew were able to get the situation under control, but the two women are said to have continued their verbal disagreements after leaving the plane. In a report by the Daily Mail, Ms Lloyd has claimed the video footage of the fight does not reveal the cuts and bruises she suffered during an earlier attack, and insists that she was acting in self-defence.
Miss Lloyd is also quoted by the Daily Mail as saying: "She threw me to the floor and was kicking and punching me. I know I should not have hit her back but it was self defence.
"She was shouting that she was going to kill me and nobody could get her off me. I thought I was going to die. I had not even been drinking. I just wanted to enjoy my hen do but now it has been ruined."
However, Ms Hanafin has also spoken out about the incident, arguing that she too is "covered in bruises" following the altercation, but that it was the bride who started it because she has "always been jealous" of her.
The 33-year-old bridesmaid is quoted by the publication as saying: "I was sat down the whole of the time and was attacked by them. I'm covered in bruises and can't move my arm, I don't know what they've done to me.
"I went to A&E and I've got to have physio now. They just all came at me. The only time I stood up was to tell them it would all be recorded on CCTV.
"After that I asked the cabin crew to move me. I didn't want to be a part of the hen party after that. It all happened about an hour into the flight and when we arrived I hung around the airport, found someone with an internet connection and booked a flight home with Jet2.
"It cost me a lot of money to go there and a fortune to get back. I can't believe what has happened."
It is understood that while Ms Hanafin arrived in Barcelona with the hen party, she booked another flight straight home again. The rest of the hen party remained in Spain and are due to arrive back in the UK today.
