Denial Over Kimye Wedding Postponement

Reports that Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have postponed their wedding have been criticised.

On Tuesday, Radar Online claimed the couple – who plan to marry in a Parisian ceremony this month – had been forced to postpone their big day due to French law.

According to the report, French law requires that one of the couple has to live in the country for 40 days before they are allowed to marry in the country. As a result, this was said to have thrown the pair's lavish ceremony into "chaos".

A source was quoted by the publication as saying: "Kim and Kanye were unaware until recently that France required a residency requirement prior to the marriage.

"Kanye has an apartment in Paris, but he doesn't live there full-time."

However, a source close to the Kardashian family has spoken to E! News, branding the claims as "completely false".

Kardashian and West are expected to tie the knot in Paris on 24 May. The couple have been in a relationship since April 2012. In December 2012, it was confirmed the couple were expecting their first child together. They welcomed a daughter, North 'Nori' West, the following June and in October 2013 the pair announced their engagement.
