Theo Walcott Becomes A Father

Theo Walcott and his wife, Melanie Slade, have become parents for the first time.

The footballer confirmed the news via Facebook on Thursday evening.

He wrote: "So over the moon to announce the birth of our baby boy Finley born this morning.... It's amazing to be mummy & daddy! Love him so much. (sic)."


The pair, who have been in a relationship since they were just 15 years old, were engaged in 2011 and tied the knot in an Italian wedding ceremony in June 2013. They announced their pregnancy just before Christmas, with Walcott saying: "Me & Mel are happy to confirm we are expecting our first child, which is due early next summer.

"We are both very excited at such happy news just a few months after getting married. We are really looking forward to becoming parents."
