Kym Marsh Defends Relationship

Kym Marsh has opened up about her latest romance – and hit out at the way it has been depicted in the press.

Last month, the singer-turned-actress was rumoured to be dating Dan Hooper. Hooper was previously in a relationship with Hollyoaks' actress Stephanie Waring, but in an interview with The Sun on Sunday, Waring slammed her friend as being "heartless" for having an affair with the father of her child.

The allegations led Marsh, 37, to criticise the mother-of-one and deny any relationship had taken place. Within hours, however, Hooper had taken to his Twitter account to post a black and white photo of himself and Marsh kissing passionately.

Now, speaking to OK! magazine, the Coronation Street actress has confirmed she is seeing Hooper, but denied reports that she has done something wrong.

She explained: "I haven't stolen anyone's man, Dan was single – and there's no denying he's hot."

And when pressed on the photo of the pair in an embrace, she added: "When Dan posted the photo of us kissing, I think it was his way of sticking up for me – no one wants to be told what they can and can't do by their ex."

Marsh, who is a mum-of-three, also hit out at Waring's comments that they are friends, stating: "Stephanie and I are not friends. She's someone I know because she works at Hollyoaks."
