According to a report in the Daily Mail, 62-year-old Sefer Calinak was appearing on Flash TV's 'Luck of the Draw' when he made the revelation, leaving the host and the audience in shock.
It is understood he told the host he had served prison sentences for both of the killings, but had been released – on both occasions – under an amnesty programme.
Another report by Hurriyetdailynews.com, claims that Calinak was first married to his cousin, Fadime, as they tried to escape the forced arranged marriage of Fadime to a widower. The contestant said that after marrying and living together for five months, his wife's behaviour changed. He explained: "The nephew of the man who wanted to marry her started to come to our village. I was jealous and I killed her, in a way."
He was sentences to 13 years and nine months for the killing but was released after four years and six months.
He then went on to marry another woman and they had two children together. They later separated and Calinak started an affair with a woman who said she would leave her husband for him, only she didn't.
He said: "I killed her after she attempted to kill me," he admitted. "She was accidentally killed when I swung the axe."
He was sent to prison, but released under another government amnesty
Appearing on the dating show, he told the stunned host: "I'm an honest person looking for a new wife." Shortly after, he was asked to leave the show.
