Mario Balotelli Announces Engagement

Mario Balotelli has confirmed he is engaged to his girlfriend Fanny Neguesha.

News of the engagement comes just days before the footballer and his Italian team mates begin their FIFA World Cup campaign.

The couple are thought to be staying in Brazil ahead of the tournament.


Taking to Twitter, Balotelli, 23, declared his love for Ms Neguesha. He posted a photo of his fiancée's engagement ring as well as a picture of where he asked for her hand in marriage, writing alongside: "She said yes.. The most important yes in my life. That was the place of my question! I love you and happy birthday too ! Je t'aime my WIFE. (sic)"

The couple are understood to have been in an on-off relationship for a number of years before announcing their engagement.
