Survey Reveals Cost Of Getting Married

A new survey has revealed that it now costs couples in Ireland €24,000 to get married.

The study, commissioned by Mrs2Be.ie, found that while couples now spend less on photographers and wedding DJs, the cost of their big day still racks up as more money is spent on venues, stationary, transport, bands, wedding dresses and even a honeymoon.

And when it comes to planning a wedding? Couples now have a shorter engagement, with many being engaged for 13 to 18 months before walking down the aisle. December is also the most popular month to get engaged, closely followed by February.
