Woman Loses Almost 5st After 'Cruel To Be Kind' Comments From Husband

A woman who lost almost 5 stone after her boyfriend told her she was "too fat to be attractive", has said that he was being "cruel to be kind".

25-year-old Stacey Hammond-Moore lost 4st 7lb for fear that he partner of 10 years would leave her. They have now been married for three years.


Mrs Hammond-Moore is quoted by the Daily Mail as saying, "I was not happy at the time but now I look back and know it was a case of being cruel to be kind."

Mrs Hammond-Moore joined an NHS weight management programme in 2010, according to the Daily Mail.

"It was hurtful at the time, but now I know how much better my life is. I’m glad he gave me the kick I needed to turn my life around," Mrs Hammond-Moore said.
