Lloyd, 20, who was formerly mentored by Cheryl on the X Factor, secretly tied the knot with her partner last year - after having been engaged for two years. She has since admitted that the pair actually wanted to marry sooner than they did.
Speaking to MailOnline, the signer explained: "Me and Craig were engaged for two years but that was only because I was so busy with work that we had to postpone. We wanted to be married much sooner than we were."
Her comments come just a day after she appeared on Lorraine to defend Cheryl Fernandez-Versini's whirlwind romance.
She said: "I know people have been saying stuff about how soon it's happened but you really can't put a time on meeting the right person. You just know. When it happens, it happens. Whether it's been years or just a few hours.
"I understand why people are excited by it all. I'm very happy for her because it's great news. She's gotten married and it's pretty exciting."
Earlier this month, Cheryl announced on her official website that she had married her boyfriend of three months, Jean-Bernard. The couple met in May at the Cannes Film Festival. Their wedding ceremony was held at the Caribbean resort of Mustique with just four guests in attendance.
