Most Popular Honeymoon Destinations Revealed

A new survey by Facebook has revealed the most popular honeymoon destinations.

For the study, the social media network based its findings on couples who had 'checked in' somewhere more than 20 miles from their home location, within two weeks of posting a marriage event on Facebook.


And for Facebook users in 2014, the most popular destination for newlyweds is Las Vegas. In fact, the top three destinations are in the US, while rounding out the top five, are two places in Mexico.

Surprisingly, though, no European destinations feature in the top ten.

The top honeymoon destinations in the world are:

1. Las Vegas, USA

2. Lahaina, USA

3. Honolulu, USA

4. Playa del Carmen, Mexico

5. Cancún, Mexico

6. Punta Cana, Dominican Republic

7. Montego Bay, Jamaica

8. Antalya, Turkey

9. Castries, St. Lucia

10. Gramado, Brazil.
