Amal Alamuddin Takes Husband's Name

Amal Alamuddin has officially changed her surname to Clooney.

The human rights lawyer tied the knot with the Hollywood actor, George Clooney, last month.

It has now been reported in a number of publications that the 36-year-old has adopted her husband's surname, and on the website of the law firm where she works, she is listed as Amal Clooney.


Clooney, 53, and his wife are thought to have started dating in October 2013. They announced their engagement in April.

They married in Venice in September. Their ceremony was officiated by the former Mayor of Rome, Walter Veltroni, who is also a long-time friend of the actors.
