1 In 10 Holiday Romances End In Marriage

A new study has revealed that one in 10 holiday romances end in marriage.

It isn't as romantic for other holidaymakers however, because while more than half of the Britons surveyed admitted to having a holiday fling, one in five said they didn't couldn't remember the name of their partner the morning after the night before.

The poll, conducted by LoveHolidays.com, found that while two-thirds believe "what goes on tour, stays on tour", 30% of people actually continue their holiday romance once they're back home.

For one in six, they said their holiday relationship lasted for more than a year, while one in 10 said the romance had resulted in marriage.

Elsewhere, the study revealed that 13% of holidaymakers had kissed more than three people in one night, while 11% would sleep with their holiday fling on the first night they met. One in five though, admitted they'd forgotten their partner's name by the next morning.

When it comes to travelling, it appears Britons also look for different qualities in a partner. For example, just 3% said they look for intellect and stimulating conversation in a partner while they're on holiday; while more than a third are looking for someone attractive and who can make them laugh.
