In August, the television presenter's wife was rushed to hospital where she sadly gave birth to a baby boy who was stillborn at 32 weeks.
Speaking to The Sun newspaper, the 41-year-old added that his wife, Marina, almost died during the delivery.
He said: "I think we all assume that everything is going to be straight forward and will just go ahead as normal but it was a huge shock in every sense. And actually the bigger thing, which I haven't really spoken about is I very nearly lost my wife. She very, very nearly died.
"For her to have come within 20 minutes of dying was a huge bolt for me and was so terrifying I can't even explain it. The thought of life without her was unbearable. It was a reminder that you have to enjoy every day. You have to never forget to say 'I love you' every single day. Never forget to smile and be happy and seize opportunities. Too many people in life take one another for granted."
The couple, are parents to Ludo, four, and three-year-old Iona, and Fogle added that he is now making sure his children "enjoy every moment of their life".
He explained: "There's a little boy we never got to know and if there's anything we owe him in getting so close to having met him, and yet so far, it's to live life even more for him."
Ben And Marina married in 2006. Their first son, Ludo, was born in 2009 and their daughter Iona was born in 2011.
