According to The Sun newspaper, the actress was spotted talking to the 29-year-old at the Global Gift Gala in London earlier this week. She is also said to have given Evans her phone number.
However, it is thought the feelings were not reciprocated.
A source is quoted by the publication as saying: "He was very polite but was trying to make it clear he wasn't interested.
"She slipped him her number. But later on she was seen on her own in the hotel bar with her coat on."
Evans has been linked to a number of famous women ever since his separation from model Kelly Brook in February 2013, while Lohan is reported to have previously dated rugby player Danny Cipriani – who was also one of Brook's ex-boyfriends.
