Jennie McAlpine Welcomes First Child

Jennie McAlpine has given birth to her first child.

The Coronation Street actress confirmed the news on her Twitter account.

She wrote: "On Saturday our lives changed forever with the arrival of our baby boy Albert. Happiness and pride like never before x (sic)".


The 30-year-old was quickly inundated with congratulatory messages, including some from her fellow Corrie stars.

Kym Marsh wrote: "Ahhh darlin!!!! I'm so so happy for you!! Love to you all xx (sic)", while Chris Bisson tweeted: "Congratulations guys. Amazing news! Lots of love x".

In May this year, McAlpine, 30, and her partner Chris Farr announced they were to become first-time parents. The couple have been in a relationship since 2005.
