In a statement to People magazine, the pair confirmed their union.
They said: "We couldn't be happier to begin our new journey together surrounded by our closest family and friends."
Diaz, 42, and 35-year-old Madden, formerly of the band Good Charlotte, married at their Beverly Hills mansion on Monday night (5 January).
