The actor, who is known for being fiercely protective of his private life, spoke of his partner in a recent interview with OK! magazine. The 32-year-old, who is from Holywood in Northern Ireland, also said his wife – Amelia Warner – is very supportive when it comes to his job.
Revealing his other half was pregnant with the couple's first child when he landed the role of Christian Grey in the upcoming '50 Shades' movie, the actor told the publication: "My wife is a brilliant, hugely understanding person. She was an actress for 10 years, so she's aware of what it's like.
"A lot of people would have had a s**t fit at 30-something weeks pregnant hearing, 'Darling, we're going to Vancouver this week for four months – we're going to have a Canadian baby and I'm going to do a film where, for parts of it, I will be naked'."
He added: "That's a tough pitch, but my wife is an incredible person."
Dornan and Warner, also 32, married at Babington House in Somerset in April 2013. Just a couple of months later, in June, the couple confirmed they were expecting their first child together. Their daughter, Dulcie, was born in November 2013.
