The 'I'm A Celebrity...' presenter, and one half of duo Ant and Dec, confirmed the news at the NTAs earlier this week.
The 39-year-old revealed he and Ant have a busy schedule for the year ahead, which includes presenting the Brit Awards next month, filming a new series of Britain's Got Talent, as well as a new series of Saturday Night Takeaway; however, he has said he also hopes to have time to get married in between.
Speaking to Reveal magazine, he said: "Hopefully I'll have time for a wedding. We're hoping to get married in the summer."
This led to last year's 'I'm A Celebrity...' runner-up Jake Quickenden admitting he would like to be best man at the ceremony. However, that role is already fulfilled, with Dec pointing to Ant, and simply saying: "You'll have to fight him for it!"
Donnelly and his fiancée, Ali Astall, have known each other for a decade, but have only been in a relationship for around 18 months. In November 2014, it was reported that the couple had become engaged during a trip to Australia. Days later, the television personality took to Twitter to confirm the news and thank his fans for their well wishes.
