The 57-year-old, who recently married his partner Elliott Spencer, was quoted by The Sun as saying he was looking forward to "the patter of tiny feet". However, he has now spoken out about the claims, saying people shouldn't believe everything they read.
The 'QI' host was attending an event in London, when he was asked about the possibility of the couple starting a family. According to The Sun, he replied that the subject could feature in the second volume of his autobiography. They quoted him as saying: "Well that is peeping into Volume Two. Volume One, the marriage is still... I hope it will never close, but in Volume Two the little family, the patter of tiny feet. Come back to me on that one."
However, after receiving tweets from people asking if the story was true, he replied, simply saying: "No... don't believe what you read in the papers!"
Fry and Spencer, 27, married earlier this month at a registry office in Dereham, Norfolk. The ceremony was kept a secret, with the comedian only sharing details of the wedding after it happened. The couple were first spotted together last November, but it is thought they started dating in summer 2014.
