Catherine Tyldesley Welcomes First Child

Catherine Tyldesley has given birth to her first child.

The 'Coronation Street' actress and her fiancé Thomas Pitfield welcomed a baby boy on Wednesday.

The couple confirmed the news via their Twitter accounts.

Tyldesley wrote: "We made a wish and you came true. Welcome Alfie James Pitfield. We love you beyond words @TP_PTfitness #Besotted".


Her partner tweeted a similar message of love, which read: "Welcome to the world Son. Alfie James Pitfield. @Cath_Tyldesley you made the happiest man in the world. Thank you x (sic)".

Tyldesley first revealed her pregnancy news in August last year. Just a few days later, she confirmed Pitfield had proposed. Alfie is the couple's first child together.
