The couple welcomed their first child, a son named Finley, in April last year. They try to keep their personal life out of the spotlight as much as possible, but appearing on ITV's Lorraine on Thursday, the 25-year-old physiotherapist opened up about their family life.
She was asked about the possibility of adding to their family, admitting: "I love being a mum and Theo is an amazing dad so yeah, and Finley would love to have a brother or sister I think, so yeah definitely."
The young mum added that she would like to have another child soon, but revealed that she did have a scare when Finley was born.
"When he was born he was so tiny. He was born two weeks early, which is not too bad, but when they did a routine check they found that he had a murmur on his heart," she explained. "That can be normal at first, but it should sort itself out after 24 hours but it didn't and so then they knew there was something going on in the heart.
"He was gone for two hours overall [in surgery]. It was the longest two hours, it just felt so long."
She added that their son is now in good health.
Melanie and Theo, 26, have been in a relationship since they were just 15 years old. They announced their engagement in 2011 and tied the knot in an Italian wedding ceremony in June 2013. In December of that year, they confirmed they were expecting their first child together. Their son, Finley, was born in April 2014.
