Vanessa Hudgens Was 'Mean' During Relationship

Vanessa Hudgens has revealed she was "mean" when she dated her former High School Musical co-star Zac Efron.

The couple first met in 2005 on the set of the movie and soon started dating off-screen. However, the 26-year-old has now admitted that the relationship wasn't always smooth sailing – especially when other women tried to catch her boyfriend's attention.


Speaking to the New York Times, Hudgens said: "I went through a phase when I was really mean because I was so fed up. Girls were running after him, and I was giving them death stares.

"Then I realised that's not what that's about. 'Spread the love, be a good person, they support you, be nice.'"

Hudgens and Efron, 27, broke up in 2010. Vanessa is now in dating actor Austin Butler, while Zac is said to be in a relationship with model Sami Miro.
