Woman's April Fools Day Joke Backfires

A woman's joke has backfired after she dumped her boyfriend for an April Fool's day prank, The Mirror has reported.

Hayleigh McBay messaged her partner on WhatsApp that she no longer wanted to be his girlfriend and he agreed.

She said: "I don't want to be with you anymore. I am not happy."

He replied: "Thank God you said it first so I didn't have to."

However, he then realised it was an April Fool's joke and played her at her own game.

Hayleigh revealed on Twitter: "Just to clarify me and David did not plan that but he guessed it was an April fools so jokingly replied, sad that I have to specify that lmao (sic)."

The pair are still together.
