Woman Gives Birth To First US Quintuplet Sisters

A woman in Texas has given birth to quintuplet sisters, it has been reported.

According to the Women's Hospital of Texas, Houston, the baby girls are the first quintuplet sisters to be born in the US.

More than a dozen doctors and nurses assisted in the premature birth which saw the girls delivered by Caesarian section. The parents, Danielle and Adam Busby, are quoted by the BBC as saying their daughters are "thriving". They have been named Olivia Marie, Ava Lane, Hazel Grace, Parker Kate and Riley Page.


The couple are also parents to an elder daughter, Blayke.

"She thinks it's normal for mommies to have five babies," Mrs Busby added.
