Halliwell, 42, and Christian Horner, the Formula One Team Principle, are expected to tie the knot this Friday at Syon House, west London. However, it is now understood that the parents of the groom will not be in attendance. No reason has been given, but there has been speculation that Horner's parents are upset that he left his former partner of 14 years, Beverley Allen, just a few months after she gave birth to their daughter Olivia.
A source is quoted by The Mirror as saying: "Geri and Christian are disappointed that his parents aren't coming, but all his brothers, close family and pals will be there.
"It is going to be a great day so they aren't over-thinking it. Geri loves her family, and has made sure they have pride of place on the big day. Even though Christian's parents won't be there, her mum and sister will be there supporting her all the way.
"Both Geri and Christian are very excited about spending the rest of their lives together. Geri has been planning her big day for a while and it is going to be a fairytale wedding."
Halliwell and Horner revealed their relationship in 2014, following weeks of speculation that they were dating. The pair have been friends since 2009. Shortly before they went public with their relationship, Horner is understood to have separated from his long-term Beverley Allen. Just six months prior to that, the couple welcomed a daughter together, called Olivia.
Halliwell is also a mum, to eight-year-old daughter Bluebell from a previous relationship.
