Andy Murray Wears Wedding Ring On His Shoelaces

Andy Murray keeps his wedding ring safe when he is playing tennis – by tying it to his shoelaces.

The 27-year-old married his long-time partner Kim Sears in April.

Speaking after his win at the Italian Open on Wednesday, when questioned about the practice, the sportsman admitted to Sky Sport Italia: "I won't lose it if it's tied to my shoelace. As soon as the match is over I put it back on. If I'd kept it in my bag, I'd have lost it already."


Murray and Sears, also 27, married at Dunblane Cathedral last month. Their reception was held at Cromlix House, which is located near Dunblane. The couple first met in 2005 at the US Open and started dating shortly afterwards. In November 2014, they confirmed they were engaged.
