Ellie Goulding On Playing Matchmaker

Ellie Goulding has revealed she was the one to introduce Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris.

The singer is a friend of both and in a recent interview with The Sun, she admits she encouraged them to go on a date.

The 28-year-old explained: "I did play matchmaker, that's true. Calvin is a really great mate and he's so fantastic and Taylor is such a cool person who I love.


"I thought, 'They're both really awesome and both really tall, they'll be brilliant together.'"

Swift, 25, and Harris, 31, were first reported to be in a relationship in February after they attended Universal's BRIT Awards after party. However, it wasn't until April when the couple went public with their romance.
