Tinder Rolls Out Verified Profiles

Tinder has confirmed it has started to roll out Verified Profiles.

The move will highlight "notable public figures, celebrities and athletes" that are also members of the dating app, confirming the accounts are genuine.


In a blog post, it added: "Each day, 26 million matches are made on Tinder, and we do our best to keep those matches real – that's why we're rolling out Verified Profiles."

It is thought a number of celebrities use the app. Hilary Duff has previously admitted to using it, while Ed Sheeran revealed earlier this year that he had been offered the first 'verified' profile. He turned it down.
