Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale have confirmed they are to divorce, after almost 13 years of marriage.
In a joint statement, the couple said they would remain "committed" to raising their children together. It is understood Stefani, 45, filed for divorce at Los Angeles Superior Court on Monday (3 August), citing "irreconcilable differences". The couple have said they want joint custody of their three children.
They added: "While the two of us have come to the mutual decision that we will no longer be partners in marriage, we remain partners in parenthood and are committed to jointly raising our three sons in a happy and healthy environment. To that end, we respectfully request privacy from the media during this time."
Stefani and Rossdale, 49, tied the knot at St Paul's, Covent Garden in London in September 2002. The couple had first met in 1995. They have three children together; sons Kingston, nine, Zuma, six, and 18-month-old Apollo.
