The 35-year-old has two sons, Bobby 12, and 10-year-old Freddie with his ex-partner Jade Goody. Goody died from cervical cancer in 2009, and while she and Brazier were not together at the time of her death, he has remained committed to keeping her memory alive for their sons.
In a new interview with the MailOnline, the television presenter said: "I'm relieved term time is about to start again. It feels like they've never been to school – it's been a long stint. I feel it more than your average parent as I'm so busy, but it's my fault as I instigate these things."
In addition to being a single parent, Brazier is a television presenter and a life coach, but he admits that he has had a little help over the years.
"We've had au pairs over the years but I haven't had one for the last nine months. We didn't have a good experience last time – she smoked and argued with her boyfriend every day on the phone."
"I've morphed into something quite different from your average dad,' he continued. "I'm probably far more sensitive to their feelings and I'm far more aware of when they need emotional support. There are little side effects of my situation where you become really good at doing quite a lot on your own. I've got an ability to push myself beyond tiredness because if I don't do it, it doesn't get done."
When their mother died, Bobby was five and Freddie was four. Due to the media attention surrounding her funeral, Brazier made the decision to not attend the ceremony, but rather take his sons to stay with family in Australia and grieve in private. They have since continued to pay tribute to Goody on a regular basis as a family.
"I want the boys to know exactly where they're from. We dedicate the 15th of every month to Jade, and we always do what the boys want to do.
"We visit her grave most months and we talk about her more than ever at the moment. We've been going through their memory boxes and looking at pictures and magazine articles they haven't seen before or can't remember seeing."
