Jon Hamm And Jennifer Westfeldt Split Because He 'Needed A Mother Figure'

Mad Men star Jon Hamm split from Jennifer Westfeldt after 18 years together because he "needed a mother figure", according to reports.

Jon and Jennifer announced their separation on Monday.

They said their split came with "great sadness" and they would be "supportive of each other".


Sources close to the couple told People magazine that Jennifer acted more like a manager or a mother to the star.

In a statement to People on Monday the pair said: "With great sadness, we have decided to separate, after 18 years of love and shared history.

"We will continue to be supportive of each other in every way possible moving forward."
