The former X Factor contestant made the revelation during Monday night's episode, where he admitted he was looking for some time alone. The 34-year-old went to the 'Tower' at the house, for a break. He was found saying: "It's so lovely up here, so nice. A little bit of Stevi time. Just here and it's really nice. I love this."
He continued: "Sound of the water... I keep burping and farting a lot. It's so nice up here. I like it a lot. It's what I love."
However, while the 34-year-old was enjoying the peace and quiet of his own company, his partner – who he met on the X Factor last year – was in CBB's Diary Room, confessing that she was worried about Ritchie.
She said: "I am just feeling a little bit lost. It's really weird, usually I am jumping about and cracking jokes and I don't know where that person has gone. I'm just trying to do a good job, and it is a huge this to go on something with your loved one. It's a big risk because it can go either way.
"I am just so worried about Steven... I have tried discussing it with him, but he wants to be alone at the moment, which I totally respect, but I feel a little bit redundant as a girlfriend."
The couple later reunited in the CBB house, but it wasn't all happy, as Ritchie suggested they spend some time apart once the latest series of the show is finished. Firstly, Whichello admitted: "I don't understand why you would dodge my hugs... I just feel very lonely... We are lonely in here. We're being viewed by millions of people but we still feel lonely."
Her partner then responded with: "Do you think when we come out we should spend some time with our loved ones? Spend a few weeks away from each other?"
Surprised by his question, the 25-year-old replied: "You always say this then I get a phone call... I feel very sorry for you because something has affected you so much."
Ritchie and Whichello were first romantically linked last year, having met on ITV's talent show, The X Factor. After initially denying claims they were dating, they later confirmed they were in a relationship. In July 2015, the couple announced their engagement.
