Sheridan Smith Admits She's Single

Sheridan Smith has admitted she is single.

The actress is understood to have taken to social media to confirm her newly-single status.

According to The Sun, the 34-year-old – who is due to star as Fanny Brice in stage show Funny Girl – sent a series of tweets, which have since been deleted, on the issue. She is said to have written: "Single!!!! :)))) bring on funny girl, who's coming???!! Can't wait xxx (sic)."


A follower then responded to the tweet, saying: "Your not single? X (sic)", to which Smith confirmed: "I sure am :) bye boys!! X (sic)."

Her announcement comes just weeks after she was said to be in a new relationship with The Enemy's bassist Andy Hopkins – after she asked him for a date over Twitter.
