Zooey Deschanel Reveals Daughter's Name

Zooey Deschanel has revealed her daughter's name – three months after she was born.

The actress was appearing at the New York premiere of Rock The Kasbah with her husband Jacob Pechenik when she told the press what the couple had named their little girl.


The 35-year-old told People that their daughter is called Elsie Otter, adding: "Otter, like the animal."

Deschanel and Pechenik started dating in mid-2014, and in January of this year, announced that they were expecting a child together. A week later, they revealed their engagement. In August, the actress confirmed the couple were now parents to a baby girl – and that they had also secretly tied the knot.
