The 35-year-old opened up about the end of her relationship to George Kay, revealing she has been left devastated because it didn't work out. Following months of split rumours, Katona confirmed in October that she had chosen to end her 13-month marriage to Kay after he was arrested for allegedly assaulting her at the family home. He was later released on bail after being charged with assault by beating and possession of a prohibited weapon.
Now, the Atomic Kitten singer has said discussed the couple's marriage, saying the split feels like "somebody has died".
She told OK! magazine: "George was with me 24/7. It's like somebody has died. He was my best friend. There is no going back with George and me. That is what hurts so much, as I know he is a good person. I just wish I could shake him."
The mum-of-five then went on to say that she will never marry again.
"It's just not meant to be," she admitted. "I don't think I could bring another man into my children's lives ever again. That is just not fair – they have been through too much already."
Katona's first marriage was to former Westlife singer Brian McFadden. They have two children together; Molly 14, and Lilly Sue, 12. Katona's second marriage was to Mark Croft, with whom she has daughter Heidi, eight, and seven-year-old son Max. Katona is also a mum to 18-month-old daughter Dylan Jorge from her marriage to Kay.
