The 35-year-old made the comments during a recent interview with DuJour.
He told the magazine: "I feel like marriage isn't for everyone. A friend of mine put it the funniest way. He said, 'If you heard that there was a 50/50 chance of living or dying when you jump out of a plane, you probably wouldn't go skydiving.'
"There's like a 50/50 chance of a marriage working. If it didn't work out for you the first time, and you still survived it, you probably shouldn't do it again."
When he was then asked if he could see himself walking down the aisle again, he replied: "I highly doubt it."
Cannon also admitted that he is not currently looking for a relationship, and finds it hard to trust people.
Cannon and Carey, 45, separated in 2014, after six years of marriage. They have two children together; four-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe.
Praising his ex-wife, he also revealed that he hopes the couple's children will have the singer's "humility".
He added: "I don't see a problem with them being different and having an eccentric upbringing. It's fascinating and fantastic, but it's about humility more than anything.
"Teaching them to be respectful, to make eye contact and say 'Yes, ma'am' and 'Yes, sir.'
"You can still be a diva and be humble. Mariah is a perfect example of that."
