Suranne Jones Expecting First Child

Suranne Jones has revealed she is expecting her first child.

The actress was appearing at the National TV Awards in London on Wednesday night with her husband Laurence Akers when she confirmed the news.


Speaking to the media, the 37-year-old said: "Me and my husband are so thrilled. We've been married nearly a year-and-a-half now and what a wonderful way to move our marriage on and we're delighted."

Jones, who keeps her private life out of the media, is thought to have tied the knot with Akers in 2014 following a six-month romance. This will be the couple's first child together.
