Sam Faiers' Boyfriend Accused Of Being 'Controlling'

Sam Faiers' boyfriend Paul Knightley has been accused of being "controlling".

The claims come after the first episode of Faiers' new reality show, The Baby Diaries, aired on Sunday evening. Knightley, who has stayed mainly out of the spotlight until now, made his first television appearance on the show, but was quickly criticised by viewers over his behaviour.

For example, the couple have been together for 16 months, and in December, they welcomed their first child together, but one scene in the episode saw Knightley refuse to cook himself a meal – instead insisting that his girlfriend should cook him something instead – even though she was breastfeeding at the time. Another instance saw him dislike the baby outfits Faiers had chosen for their son, so she returned them to the shop, explaining: "He's just very particular about what he likes."

He also refused to move in with Sam when she was six months pregnant, and in the weeks leading up to the birth, the former TOWIE star told him: "I feel like you haven't been around."

When Sam finally did go into labour, her boyfriend also took a two-hour nap.

While many have criticised his behaviour, Sam has not commented on any of the claims. Instead, she thanked her fans for watching the show, and for their "kind messages and support".
