Rod Stewart To Renew Wedding Vows

Rod Stewart has said he and his wife Penny Lancaster are to renew their wedding vows next year. The ceremony will mark the couple's 10-year anniversary.

The singer made the comments during an appearance on Alan Carr Chatty Man.

Sharing the couple's plans, the 71-year-old said: "We are going to do what we did 10 years ago and go down to Italy with all the same friends and do it all over again. Just have a re-run.

"She [Penny] is very thoughtful and loving and a great mum, and great wife, a great mate, a soul mate – all those things. I've been very lucky.

"I always maintain you have got to wait until the right person comes. Don't just go out with anybody, as if the wrong person is there then the right person can't get in. That is what happened with Penny and me. I just stopped dating and she came along."

Stewart and Lancaster, 44, married in 2007. The couple have two children together; sone Alastair, 10, and four-year-old Aidan.

It is Stewart's third marriage. He was previously married to Alana Hamilton for five years, and was later married to Rachel Hunter for over eight years.
