Just last week, Sir Tom, 75, cancelled a number of his concerts due to a "serious illness" in his immediate family.

Linda and Sir Tom were married for 59 years. They first met when they were 12-years-old and started dating when they were just 15. In 1957, at the age of 16, they tied the knot.

The couple have one son together, Michael, who is also the singer's agent.
