Two Bailed Over Death Of Baby Boy

Two people have been bailed over the death of a four-week-old baby boy in St Austell.

On Sunday, 26 June, an ambulance crew were called to a property in St Blazey, Par. It was discovered that a baby had suffered serious injuries. He died in hospital later that evening.

The death is being treated as suspicious, police have said.

Enquiries are continuing.

Devon and Cornwall Police has said they are awaiting the results of the post mortem and a number of associated tests.

Two people, a 20-year-old man and a woman, 22, arrested on suspicion of murdering the baby boy have been released on bail until October pending further enquiries.
