The research by EliteSingles UK involved 850 singletons, aged between 18 and 75, and revealed the TV shows that can make people appear more – or less – attractive to the opposite sex.
For example, 63% said that having the 'right taste' in television makes a person more interesting to date. Of the shows that make a person more attractive, Sherlock is one of the top shows with 23% of the vote. This is followed by The Big Bang Theory (23%) and Game Of Thrones (22%).
And when it comes to TV that makes someone less attractive to the opposite sex? Well, 54% said EastEnders is a red flag – closely followed by Coronation Street (49%). An additional 22% said Doctor Who was also a TV turn-off.
Looking at the celebrities people would like to watch TV with, Billie Piper (Doctor Who) is men's favourite TV temptress, followed by Kaley Cuoco (The Big Bang Theory) and Natalie Dormer (Game Of Thrones).
For British women, the most-wanted TV celebrity is Aidan Turner (Poldark), followed by Idris Elba (Luther) and Benedict Cumberbatch (Sherlock).
