Kristina Rihanoff Settling Into Motherhood

Kristina Rihanoff has said the first month of motherhood has been "a struggle".

The Strictly Come Dancing professional gave birth to her first child, a daughter named Mila, in June. She has now written about motherhood and how she has found it difficult to adjust to her new role as a mum.

Writing in her online blog for Hello! magazine, the 38-year-old admitted: "That first month of motherhood as a first-time mum was really challenging to be honest. It wasn't an easy first month at all.

"I can openly say that some days are amazing but some days I felt a little down. You feel like you can't even get up and cook something or walk around because you don't have the energy."

However, the dancer added that her mother and her partner, Ben Cohen, help bring her through the tough times.

Rihanoff and Cohen met in 2013 after they were paired together on Strictly Come Dancing. The couple have always said they only started dating after Cohen split from his wife – and childhood sweetheart – Abby. Ben and Abby announced their separation in September 2014. Last year, after much speculation, the former rugby player confirmed he was in a relationship with Rihanoff.

While this is the first child for Rihanoff and Cohen, he is also a father to eight-year-old twin daughters, Isabelle and Harriette, from his former marriage to Abby.
