Pernice has been partnered with television presenter Laura Whitmore. Last year, he was partnered with actress Georgia May Foote and the couple started dating once the show finished.
However, just a few weeks ago, the pair announced that they had separated. While many suggested the split was because of a potential romance on the cards between Pernice and Whitmore, the dancer's ex-girlfriend has said that this is not the case, and that her and Whitmore are actually good friends.
However, Savchenko, 33, has now told Star magazine that he thinks Pernice will start a romance with Whitmore. He is quoted as saying: "I'm not shocked [about Giovanni and Georgia]. He's young and he's Italian. You know what Italians are like.
"They were never going to get married, have kids and live happily ever after. I bet you £100 Giovanni will get with Laura this year. And next season I'll bet you another £100 he will get with his new partner."
