Kylie Minogue Lends Support To Same-Sex Marriage

Kylie Minogue and her fiancé, Joshua Sasse, has said that they will not marry until same-sex marriage is made legal in Australia.

The couple, who announced their engagement earlier this year, have given their support to a marriage equality campaign in Minogue's native Australia.

The Australian government has proposed holding a public vote into the issue of same-sex marriage in February 2017.

Sasse, 28, is quoted by Australia's Seven Network that while the couple want to marry in Melbourne, they "will not get married until this [marriage] law has passed in Australia."

He added: "When I found out that gay marriage was illegal in Australia, I was astounded. I simply can't fathom on any level... that I have the right to get married and to marry the person that I love and that somebody else doesn't because of their sexual orientation."

Minogue, 48, and Sasse announced their engagement in February of this year, having confirmed they were in a relationship just months before, in November 2015.
